Engineers Australia UK Chapter & Engineers Ireland West Region

Engineers Australia is the peak Australian forum for the advancement of engineering and the professional development of its members in Australia and throughout the world. There are 6 overseas chapters, one of these being the UK Chapter whose role is to further the involvement of Australian Engineers in the profession while they are based in the United Kingdom and endeavouring to service and connect with its Europe based members.

 

Engineers Ireland is the peak Ireland forum for engineering and professional development of its members in Ireland and throughout the world.  Engineers Ireland West region covers counties Galway, Mayo and Roscommon providing a focal point for engineers of all grades and disciplines, and proactively encouraging their continuous professional development through delivery of a varied programme of lectures, seminars, site visits, golfing and social networking events. The Region is known as a centre of excellence for biomedical engineering, with significant research and development ongoing at private companies, particularly around Galway, and at third-level institutions including NUIG, GMIT and the Irish Marine Institute at Oranmore.  It encompasses part of the Gaeltacht region of Galway and Mayo and particularly welcomes participation “as Gaeilge” with an annual “Leacht as Gaeilge” now an established component of the programme of events.
